It appears I've fallen off the planet, no? It's been really hectic at work and in the lives of those around me. Whew! Oh and did I mention it's hot out? It was 89 yesterday and is supposed to get over 90 today. I can't handle it.
Cashmere t-shirt/sweater: Talbot's
Skirt: Talbot's
Wedges: Target
Necklaces: all gifts
Looks like I'm on a Talbot's kick, huh? I found some awesome deals online (skirt was only $11) and some so-so deals in store (sweater was $37). It's remarkable how much more expensive stuff is in their store vs. online. If you spy something there, I highly recommend checking it out online. They email coupon codes almost weekly so you can really save.
I heart these shoes. The leather straps are bronze, silver, and gold (how Olympian!) and the wedge is a dark, shapely cork. I love how "scalloped" the cork is. I should have taken a pic from the back - it's super thin - almost like a heel.
I layered my regular pearl strand, a scattered 3-strand, and a silver/pearl fleur de lis. My coworker kept looking at it and finally she said, "I can't stop staring at your necklace" and reached in to figure out what was going on. She thought it was all one piece so mission accomplished.
On a side note, I'm not sure why I look so tan (well, tan for me) in these pics. I'm no proponent for tanning and am the 2nd biggest fan of sunscreen (Tracey is #1). I've not been tanning or out in the sun and slather on SPF 70 regularly. You ladies all better be wearing your sunscreen every day! I've been known to sneak-attack and spray down my friends if they refuse. You never know where I'll be hiding :)

I was wondering where you were! Glad to see you, and I like this cute outfit. I agree that the deals are generally better online. And I LOVE the look of the necklaces; how very creative of you.
Oooh me likes those shoes! And yes, Talbots has great deals online. My mom will get on there Christmas evening many years and go to town with the coupon codes I supply her!
The layered necklaces are lovely - and well done fooling your coworker with 'em. ;)
the shoes are sooo cute, love the layered necklaces
I just need to know - are the shoes comfortable?? Or are they comfy for a while and then the straps start to dig in???
You are so adorable -- I love that you're the SPF police! Lately I've taken to carrying a parasol on sunny days, which serves the dual purpose of providing sun protecton AND looking chic to boot!
Holy hotness - you and the weather!! Love the browns and your metallic shoes!
Really cute, the skirt looks great on you and I LOVE those shoes. I totally burn in like 2 seconds so I always have to wear sunscreen, anything under 50 spf doesnt even work on me at all.
omg, additional 40% off red lines at talbots today. just picked up a sweet red faux wrap dress.
I always act like I just assume my friends wear sunscreen. I keep a bottle by the door and after I spray it on myself, I say "do you have any or do you need to use mine?"
They usually go for it :) Now I just have to work on my brother - he works outside every day and still thinks it's too much of a hassle! aghhhhh he's killing me!
1) Super sweet hot look
2) Those shoes should be mine
3) So should the necklace
4) Sun on the skin is the devil as you age. Take note younger ladies!
you call that tan? hahah ;)
love the shoes! i wish i had bought them when i had the chance
Thanks for your sweet comments, ladies!
Sarah - They actually don't dig in. I have smallish feet (7-7.5) and I think that helps in wearing a lot of shoes. These are some of my more comfortable shoes too b/c of the wedge :)
Audi - A parasol! How chic - I'd end up poking Al in the face if I had one.
Candice - I feel the pain! I burn super fast too.
Kelly - I've given sunscreen to both of my parents but no luck. I have Al completely on board though :)
KT - It's my goal to reverse age for the next 10 years.
Trac - Beyotch, this looks tan on me considering how parchment-like my chest usually is. You can't count veins for once. haha
Great skirt! I am on board with the sunscreen! It is a must still having to nag the bf though!
I do wear sunscreen most of the time especially riding on the bike. But this week I forget (I now have it in my purse). Thanks for reminding me. Daddy is a lost cause.
You're way better than Daddy is about it for sure - keep some in your purse and spray him down when he's not looking! :)
