No outfit synergy here

Denim Jacket: Gap

White Wrap Tee: CAbi (Spring 2009)

Chino Skirt: J Crew

Pumps: MIA

We always say how taking a picture makes you see an outfit differently. I felt so cute and sassy in my stripe pumps getting ready today. But when I looked at the picture, I don't like the outfit. I'm not sure what it is. I think maybe the proportion is wrong on the denim jacket? Not sure. I just know I'm not a fan of today's picture but don't know why. I like all the pieces individually--I'm just not liking them together for whatever reason. Don't ya hate it when that happens??

I don't think it is that bad. I wonder if you add a scarf for a belt or something to bring some color to the middle if you'd like it better.

I love your denim jacket!

I do hate that feeling but, for the record, I think this outfit totally works! Love how the necklace mirrors the trim on those sassy shoes.

The outfit is really cute and despite the colors doesn't come across as a salute to the 4th of July, but . . . I just have to say, you are too cute of a girl to have that Brown Football Helmet of Hair on your head. Honey, it dates you and I have a feeling makes you look years beyond your age.

I think it's the white top. The outfit might work better with red!

Good grief "Sayitfashionista!" Did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed or are you always so pointed? Sorry, everyone loves constructive feedback but if you are going to be that direct, I'm sure she would have appreciated a private email. I always want to know what people think about hair, makeup, etc. if it's bad, but I'd prefer it not be shouted out from the pulpit of my church.

Sounds like it wasnt nearly as bad of an outcome as I thought then! Good to know. The shoes are just fun--saw them in a magazine a year ago and went on the hunt!

And I cant believe I feel compelled to respond to the Helmet Hair comment (which I literally laughed out loud at because-- wow-- people get brave when they dont have to leave their real name) but I had gotten my hair cut and colored the night before so it was in that "post cut" funk--I actually hated it as well when I left the house that day. Always takes a week or so after a cut and color to go back to "normal" ya know?

Those shoes are too cute - I like the outfit.

I totally know what you mean about having to "settle" into a new 'do. Your bangs are different - did you get them more blunt instead of swoopy? Change is good! :)

Bangs really arent cut differently--I just tried not swooping them for the day and just keeping them straight across more instead of curling slightly under. Just been trying to wear it a few different ways lately instead of always flipped--straight sometimes too.

I like them like this - good to play with it while it's short and newly cut.

Cute look, Leslie. I think I remember those shoes from last summer and always like them when you wear them.

I think you're crazy, I think that outfit is cute! I do agree you need a little pop of color at the waist.
