I hate Mondays, but Mondays are infinitely much better when you have new fun stuff to wear! I picked up the skirt and the shoes in Indy this past Friday. Allison and I had a somewhat scary experience trying to find the Steve and Barry's store... but we made it there in and out in one piece. Since we spent so much time at H&M and Trader Joe's (with me screaming "time schedule!" at Allison the whole time. Sorry, Ally!)We only had about 15 min to do some power shopping and these shoes were the only thing I bought. Honestly, I don't think we really needed much more time than that. I get the feeling the good stuff in the Bitten line gets picked over pretty quick. Please ignore the blue heel slip pads in the shoes. In most of my shoes I have to wear these. They are a must have for me. My favorite ones are the gray Dr Scholl's spongy kind or the Walgreen's or Rite-Aid generic versions of them. If you are ever in need of these, stay away from the gel ones. They are horrible!

TGIF, Everyone! Just a typical Friday at work. Today was going to be a rainy, gloomy day so I wanted to be bright and sunny! I was originally drawn to this top because of it's vibrant blue color.

The shoes I've had a few years and this, are you ready, is the 1st time I've ever worn them! I got them on super clearance at Dillard's for like $12 or something crazy like that. I should be reprimanded for letting cute shoes like this sit in my closet unworn. Shame on me!

I just wanted to show off my locket... so allow me to be sentimental for just a moment. As a few of you already know, my Mom recently passed away and before she died she made sure to give me all her items that were special to her. This locket it over 60 yrs old. My grandmother wore it when my Mom was a baby. On the back you can see the little teeth marks that my Mom left on it when she was teething and putting everything in her mouth. I just think it's so cute!

Scout on Market Street downtown is one place here in town that I can always go to and find something to buy. It might be for my house or for me, but I usually walk out of there with my wallet a little (sometimes a lot!) lighter. The owners are fabulous and very personable. You will leave there feeling like you've found 2 new friends! One day I needed a little pick me up and walked in to find these little faux tortise shell bangles. I believe I paid about $11 for all 3 of them. I just love them!

The Marc by Marc Jacobs bag has made another appearance to brighten up a rainy day!

Well, it was my 1st day back after having more than a week off of work. I clearly didn't feel like putting an effort in this morning, so I grabbed a dress. Dresses are great because they can make you look like you made an effort when you really didn't. I got this little black jersey knit dress from Marshall's in the beginning of Spring and I just love it. I realize it isn't the most flattering drss style for me, but it is so comfy and I love the trumpet sleeves. I added the necklace to kind of add a bit of color and coordinate with the gold sandals.




I really like these gold sandals that I picked up at Walmart for around $11. They are knockoffs of pricier ones that I've seen at different places this Spring. They also have silver and black and I want to get them in all of the colors.









Here is a close up of the "not cheap, but cute" bag. I love it and I carry it practically every day, so you'll probably be seeing it a lot!

Okay, you guys have to be patient with me because this is my very 1st ever blog post... EVER! I tend to ramble on about nothing of any substance, so hopefully you can make some sense of what I say. :)

So, I realize that the bag is not exactly "cheap", but it is most definitely "cute"... and hey, my shoes are from Walmart, I should be able to spend some coin on a little bit of Marc Jacobs if I'd like, right? Unfortunately a close up pic of the bag will have to wait for another day because I can't get the layout right this time. I promise I will get better at this!
